"I am a hopeless professor," this what Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama said at a function at the Delhi University, sending the entire audience into peals of laughter.
The Dalai Lama's remark came after Vice Chancellor of the University introduced the spiritual leader as the "most liked visiting professor" of the premier institute which "many people may not know."

It was only last year that the National Society of Poseurs, Frauds and Phonies took to the streets to wail and rend garments (conveniently purchased from the bargain shelf of a nearby thrift store) as part of their expression of outrage at the treatment of tiny little Tibet by big, bad Red China .
Never mind that few would know Tibet from Timbuktu, much less care.
But the Olympic torch was being carried across part of the United States .

The Dalai Lama Wednesday denied reports that he is suffering from cancer, but admitted that his eventual passing would represent a blow for the Tibetan cause.
"The Tibetan people's respect towards me is very strong and my death would be a setback," the exiled Buddhist spiritual leader said whilst in Italy on a trip.

Critics have accused President Obama of kowtowing to Chinese leaders, by failing to meet dissidents, toning down his criticisms and delaying a meeting with the Dalai Lama. Confrontation doesn't help with China and can hurt, and so engagement becomes a fine line to navigate.
The Obama visit wasn't a ringing success, but neither was it a craven embarrassment.

China has not wasted time getting into action on the India-Pakistan front.
It has sent an invite to separatist Kashmiri leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, days after the Sino-US statement of working together for peace in South Asia between India and Pakistan.
New Delhi is playing it cool with foreign minister SM Krishna saying on Friday that "Mirwaiz is free to travel wherever he wants."
